Ashe has been promoting, for the first time at any show, a fully operational Opal Series ALCL (Automated Label Converting Line) with a maximum production web width of 540mm.

Non-stop operation from high-end engineering includes heavy duty, full rotary die stations with the latest adjustable anvils. The unit also includes bespoke matrix strip assemblies with precision edge slitting back to matrix wind, automated slitting capabilities and a full Auto set Glue-less 4 spindle turret rewind. The company calls this feature the most versatile available. The company also guarantees continuous production speeds of 250 m/m.

There have been continuous demonstrations throughout the four days on two further slitter-rewinders on the stand. 

An 800mm wide Duplex center-wind Solitaire Slitter has been highlighted, as well. It comes with a versatile slitting design, operating at speeds of 600 m/m while running printed thin films – typically BOPP wrap around labels. 

A 440mm wide Opal Series ISR completes the lineup. This unit demonstrates 100% camera inspection through every run, simple driven shear slitting and a 600mm diameter duplex rewind allowing machine to operate with multiple substrates, not just supported labels.
